Rising demand in low and middle income countries has fuelled antibiotic consumption across the world. However, their oversuse has resulted in the creation of deadly bacteria strains that are resistant to treatment. An OECD report has revealed the countries that consume the most antiobiotics. Turkey is in first place with a defined daily dose per 1,000 people of 42.2.
