EUROMEDINCULTURE(s): Presentation of the citizens survey "Europe for Citizens" outcome 2010 (16th March 2011, Brussels - Belgium)

Source :  ADCEI

Since January 2009, the EUROMEDINCULTURE(s) network has been carrying out in Europe a wide citizen survey on the challenges for culture in the making of the European Union and on the place it should have in future European policies.

Supported by the European Commission in the framework of the « Europe for Citizens » programme, this process of consultation has involved thousands of citizens who have had the possibility to express themselves through an on-line questionnaire and during the many public meetings which have been organized in the different countries participating in the project. The consultation has dealt with the issue of the mobility of creators and culture professionals, the enhancement of the economical potential of the cultural and artistic fields, the integration of cultural aspects in education policies, and the place of culture in the external relations of the European Union, and specifically in the Mediterranean.

On 16th March 2011, in the European Parliament in Brussels, the members of the EUROMEDINCULTURE(s) network involved in the project will officially introduce the outcome of this survey to the general public, European cultural operators, elected officials and representatives from the European institutions. The synthesis of the reflections and suggestions expressed by the citizens will be outlined through a series of recommendations aimed at orientating the future policy of the European Union in the cultural field. The meeting will be livened up by the screening of a creation film shot during the project on the different territories.

Hereby, we have the pleasure to invite you to this meeting that will take place:
