For a long time the subject of over-simplistic scorn and voyeurism, we are only now beginning to see and appreciate the Indians as they really were. Often shamelessly exploited, they are now coming to us as subjects, as actors of their own identity, as creators of original worlds and works of sense and feeling.

This exhibition to the heart of the archipelago harbouring the Indians of Mexico takes us on a journey of enlightenment through this continent country whose artistic pulse is beating better than ever.
