Chomsky, Noam

Noam Chomsky was born in 1928 in Philadelphia. He studied linguistics, mathematics, and philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. Since 1955, he has taught at the MIT. He integrates the Linguistic and Modern Language department in 1961. Chomsky is very respected and has been honored numerous times in the academic arena. He has published numerous books, and half of this production is devoted to the United States foreign policy, human rights, and the role of the media in the control of information. Among his productions, one can find Profit over people : neoliberalism and global order (1999) ; Terrorizing the neighborhood: American foreign policy in the post-cold war era (1998).
