Noam Chomsky was born in 1928 in Philadelphia. He studied linguistics, mathematics, and philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. Since 1955, he has taught at the MIT. He integrates the Linguistic and Modern Language department in 1961. Chomsky is very respected and has been honored numerous times in the academic arena.
